Youth United Project (YUP) is the largest student-run nonprofit for youth education in Canada. Established in 2022, we provide FREE academic support and enrichment programming for elementary students across Canada. Our mission is to make quality education accessible to every student, regardless of socioeconomic background. Since 2022, we've provided education to over 1,000 students across Canada.
YUP's tutoring initiative provides online classes in a wide range of elementary school subjects, taught by carefully selected high school and university student volunteers from across Canada. Classes are held for one hour, once a week, virtually on Zoom from September through June. Our tutoring is completely free, with all classes taught by dedicated volunteer tutors. A one-time $25 registration fee is charged per course solely to help offset the administrative, technology, curriculum materials, and platform costs required to operate and sustain the program. This volunteer-led model is what allows us to keep tutoring genuinely affordable and within reach for every family.

Private Classes are available across all subjects, at both the elementary and high school levels, and feature an enhanced curriculum tailored to each student's individual needs. Classes are offered in a 1-on-1 or 1-on-2 format. Teachers begin by evaluating the student's current skills and knowledge in the subject, then tailor lessons around their specific learning needs and goals.
Please note that Private Classes are taught exclusively by our top IB and university students from competitive programs. Because these teachers are compensated for their time, Private Classes are charged at an hourly rate and offered at a premium compared to our regular group classes.
